Woodcote Primary School in Ashby has set up a fundraising page after the sad loss of a 'caring and giving' staff member.

The school's staff and governors have paid tribute to Hayley Foster on its Facebook page.

On the Woodcote Primary School website Woodcote Primary Hayley is listed as Breakfast Club Lead, Lunchtime Supervisor and Teaching Assistant.

The school has now set up a Just Giving page, fundraising for the Huntington's Disease Association In Memory of Hayley Foster.

At the weekend, the Just Giving page had raised around £1,400 after a tragic death that has hit the Willowbrook Close school hard.

Ashby Nub News contacted the school who did not want to add any further comment to the message on its Facebook page - but were happy for us to share the Just Giving link.

Woodcote Primary's Facebook post reads: "We are raising money in memory of the wonderful Miss Hayley Foster.

"Hayley was the kindest, most gentle and biggest hearted person - and all of our love and thoughts are with her family at this tragic time.

"Her caring and giving nature touched everyone she worked with, children and adults alike.

"Hayley will be a huge loss to our school community, both personally and professionally.

"There are no words to say how devastated we all are and how much she will be missed by everyone.

"Miss Foster will be remembered fondly by everyone in our Woodcote family and the impact of her loss will be felt deeply by so many.

"Thinking of you all. Best wishes. Woodcote staff and governors."
