Ashby's Lyric Rooms has been forced to postpone its comedy night in November where three acts were due on the bill.

The new national lockdown introduced at the weekend means it cannot now go ahead.

But the Lyric Rooms says its November 12 show is being brought forward to this Wednesday (Nov 4) and there is another show being put on tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd) featuring Tom Binns.

The venue's Facebook page says: "We have the very wonderful Ivan Brackenbury with his incredible Hospital Radio Roadshow, Ian D. Montfort Spirit Medium and Tom Binns with Nibbles The Gerbil!

"Only 70 tickets available, so be quick!

"Compere for the night will be the energetic and animated Spiky Mike; 7pm doors; 7.45pm start; £14 adv

"To book go HERE

"Food will be available, but must be pre-booked by messaging us."

Hal Cruttenden will be the star attraction on Wednesday night before lockdown comes back in.

The Lower Church Street venue had lined up a November gig featuring Edinburgh Fringe. The Guardian says they are 'comedy gold'.

Along with, Lloyd Griffith, a multi-talented entertainer and ex-choir boy with numerous TV appearances, including being co-host of Soccer AM on Sky Sports every Saturday.

And a third act, Simon Lomas who is a deadpan master of absurd one-liners, who has won countless comedy competitions in the past couple of years.
