Ashby's Lyric Rooms has announced it will be staging a Soul, Motown & Reggae Christmas Dinner in December.

Despite the current Covid-19 restrictions, the Lower Church Street venue is gradually re-introducing socially distanced live performances.

And this one has a definite festive feel to it.

The Lyric Rooms Facebook page says: "Hailing from Jamaica, Marlon brings his Soul, Motown and Reggae Show to the UK.

"Performing all the classics and putting a Reggae twist on some more modern songs, Marlon is guaranteed to get you in the party mood.

"Your ticket price of £33.50 includes entertainment throughout your three-course festive dinner, welcome drink and coffee."

The venue has also made clear their new timings.

Their post adds: "Our evening starts at 6.30pm and you will be taken to your table where you welcome drink awaits you. (an hour earlier than usual)

"Our fabulous act starts at 7.00pm before your starters arrive and plays throughout the evening in between courses.

"Our evening ends at 10.00pm prompt.

"Christmas deposits are £10.00 per person to secure your places.

"Please do give Jayne a call on 07946 438904 to reserve your place or message us.

"Our venue has had a risk assessment and will have social distanced tables of no more than six and drinks served to your tables."
