Children in Ashby will have a raft of activities at their fingertips this summer after leisure operator Everyone Active linked up with holiday course provider TayPlay.

Everyone Active, which runs Hood Park Leisure Centre in Ashby in partnership with North West Leicestershire District Council, has brought in TayPlay to deliver camps for children aged 5-11 (year one-year six).

Hood Park will host weekday courses from Monday, July 19-Friday, August 20.

Established in 2017 and based in Leicestershire, TayPlay offers a variety of activities including sports, inflatables, arts and crafts, team games and Nerf unite.

The company serves leisure centres, councils and schools across the East Midlands and aims to deliver an active, fun and inclusive experience for youngsters.

Duncan Gibb, Everyone Active's contract manager, said: "We are delighted that TayPlay will be delivering holiday courses at our centres and we know they will put plenty of smiles on faces come July and August.

"Due to the pandemic, children in the local community have missed out on a lot over the past year and opportunities to mix socially have been limited.

"TayPlay will give them the opportunity to be kids again in a fun, active and inclusive environment, and will help them to build happy memories which will last for years to come."

Harry Taylor, TayPlay's co-founder and director, said: "We are very excited to be working with Everyone Active to deliver a fun and engaging holiday programme to hundreds of children across the East Midlands this summer.

"At TayPlay, we pride ourselves on delivering a 'different approach' to holiday courses, offering a range of activities that are enjoyable and inclusive for all.

"We promise to provide a stress-free summer for parents and guardians and as such, we offer extended hours across all our courses and accept childcare vouchers for the best experience."
