Ashby's Castle Medical Group says 'great progress' is being made with coronavirus vaccinations in the area.

Currently, the health centre is calling people in the over-70s age group housebound vaccinations planned for this week.

The Castle Medical Facebook page reads: "Great progress is being made with Covid Vaccinations.

"We are busy ringing patients over the age of 70 or clinically extremely vulnerable to get you booked in for your appointment.

"Please bear with us as we have a large list to work through and could we ask for your support in not ringing the practice.

"For those patients who are housebound, we are planning on undertaking these vaccinations this week and we will be in touch to confirm what day we are coming out to visit."

North West Leicestershire's vaccination hub is at Measham Leisure Centre.
