25th Feb 2020 | Local News

A yellow warning for ice has been issued for the Ashby area on Wednesday.

The Met Office says the warning comes into place from midnight and lasts until 10am.

Motorists are warned that icy stretches are likely to bring some travel disruption overnight and into Wednesday morning.

It is also possible there could be some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

Drivers are also warned to watch out for icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

Sleet showers are also forecast with an overnight low of one degree expected.
