Ashby Venture Theatre to Stage 'Triumphant' Production in February

Ashby's Venture Theatre will be staging a production of The Pitmen Painters next month.
Performances will run from February 20-22 and 26-29 with admission price £9.
The Pitmen Painters Based on a triumphant Story in 1934 by Lee Hall.
It tells of the Ashington Group, which was a small society of artists from Ashington, Northumberland, which met regularly between 1934 and 1984.
Despite being composed largely of miners with no formal artistic training, the Group and its work became celebrated in the British art world of the 1930s and 1940s.
