Ashby Sport Fun Day is returning this summer after a successful launch event 12 months ago.

This year, there will be even more attractions for the FREE event at the Bath Grounds on June 26 (10-5pm).

The event is a chance for all sports to get together in Ashby and showcase what they have to offer to the community.

It is a day which aims to celebrate the diversity and opportunity presented by the many sports clubs in the town.

Last year was well attended and organisers are hoping for even more success in 2022.

Ashby Sport has 27 clubs actively taking part in the event with activities ranging from Croquet to Zumba and Boxing to Running.

This year, a fun itinerary has been lined up, including martial arts demonstrations in the new Demonstration Showcase Area, croquet competition with Andrew Bridgen MP, a live boxing fight and even a wellie wanging competition!

Clubs will also have a selection of prizes, goodies, offers and giveaways on the day.

Food and refreshments will be available around the event as well as a fully licensed bar at Ashby Hastings Cricket Club.

There is no charge to the public for this event, it is brought free of charge by the volunteers at Ashby Sport and the member sports clubs, delivered in partnership with Ashby de la Zouch Town Council.

Radar Event Services will be the compare for the day - and the event is sponsored by The Monkey Tree in Ashby.
