Ashby School has been judged as 'Good', following a two-day Ofsted inspection.
The report said the school was found to be 'managed and led well' and to be 'highly inclusive' with a 'progressive' curriculum and 'high expectations of all pupils', including those with special educational needs.
Inspectors also noted the 'positive relationships between staff and pupils' and said that pupils felt 'safe and happy at school'.
They found that students are taught by 'knowledgeable and skilled staff' and that pastoral care is of a 'high quality'.
There was also praise for the 'positive contribution' made by pupils to the school community through opportunities like the school council and reading mentor schemes.
Inspectors described the school as 'being strongly supported by the trust' - Ashby School is part of LiFE Multi Academy Trust.
Headteacher Dr Jude Mellor said: "We are delighted, but not surprised, that Ashby School has been judged to be 'good'.
"We are committed to providing a high quality education and a positive school experience for all our students, and this is recognised in the Ofsted judgement.
"The judgement is a credit to our students who work so hard to uphold our values and to the commitment and resilience of our staff who strive all year round to deliver the very best outcomes for our students.
"We will continue to work hard and keep on improving to ensure everyone at Ashby School is empowered to learn, now and in the future."
The Ofsted inspection was carried out by a team of six inspectors on 24 and 25 January 2024.
