Ashby Rotary Club has announced that all the Rotary activities of Rotary Clubs will be consolidated into one club.

The Rotary Club of Ashby Castle and Ashby Rotary club will all be joining together into one club following the announcement, hoping to strengthen the work and impact of the Rotary Club locally.

This comes after the Rotary Club of Ashby Hastings closed in June, after 45 years of serving the Ashby community.

The Ashby Rotary Club was first founded in 1947, followed by Ashby Hastings in 1981 and Ashby Castle in 1995.

Now, Ashby Castle and Ashby Rotary Club will operate under the name Ashby Castle Rotary Club as one significantly larger club.

The Rotary clubs contribute a lot to Ashby life and local fundraising, running Santa Run, the Santa Sleigh, organising and helping events run smoothly and raising funds for important local causes.
