The Monkey Tree intends to re-open on Tuesday

The Monkey Tree Restaurant in Mill Lane Mews has closed until Tuesday due a member of staff testing positive for Covid-19.

The Ashby restaurant posted an update to its Facebook page today (Friday) and says it is taking all precautions to ensure the safety of its customers.

The post reads: "To all our valued customers, We are informing you that one of our staff has tested positive for COVID.

"Although we have been hit hard already over recent times we value your safety as our upmost priority.

"Therefore we are taking no risks and are closing the restaurant with immediate effect.

"We intend to reopen on Tuesday the 20th of July.

"We sincerely apologise for the reservations made this weekend and will inform everyone personally explaining our situation."
