Ashby Open Gardens have raised £4,000 for local charities on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July, with 15th annual show.

This year's funds raised by the Open Gardens was donated to Bright Hope and The Air Ambulance Service.

Bright Hope is a local charity based in Coalville that offers a wide variety of support and services of adults living with long-term conditions, including free counselling, social groups and community support.

Bright Hope is also Ashby Mayor Cllr Murrae Blair Park's charity for his year as Mayor.

The Air Ambulance Service is the charity behind Your Local Air Ambulance and the National Children's Air Ambulance who save lives across the country.

During this year's Ashby Open Gardens, over 450 visited, taking the opportunity to explore the town's gardens.

According to the organisers, the Open Gardens is a chance to 'see what can be achieved in typical 'Town' gardens like yours, rather than 'Country Estates' that are typical of many open gardens.'

The organisers thanked Ashby Toolbox, Woodlander and Ashby Town Council for their support and announced that the 2027 Open Gardens will take place in August.
