Ashby Nub News is launching a Christmas lights competition for 2022 - with readers able to vote for their favourite on social media.

The Christmas lights competition starts today (Thursday, Dec 15) - with Ashby and Measham residents asked to send in a photo of their lights or suggest a display to us.

Have you made a special effort with your display this year? Or do you know someone who has and thinks they deserve a special mention.

Ashby Nub News will post those photos on its Facebook page between now and Boxing Day.

Send your nominated picture in by email to [email protected].

The winner will be announced on the Ashby Nub News website and social media platforms.

And the winner of the best Christmas lights display in the Ashby area for 2022 will be awarded to the post with the most likes and reactions.

They will be awarded a special prize courtesy of Ashby Nub News for their festive efforts.

Good luck to everyone who has made a special effort with Christmas lights in the Ashby area this year.
