Ashby Museum is looking for volunteers to help with its strategic direction and forward planning.

The Museum made it known earlier this year that it was facing closure if it could not raise the funds to carry out essential safety repairs to the building.

But now they want people to come forward and help progress the Museum.

Applications are welcome from people with:

  • Knowledge of the local area
  • A good understanding of education within a heritage context
  • Tact, diplomacy and powers of persuasion, with the ability to listen and engage effectively
  • An ability to encourage a collaborative working environment
  • Strong networking capabilities

For more information, email [email protected], call 01530 560090 or visit the Museum in North Street.

The museum is holding its Annual General meeting this Saturday (October 9) and more details can be found on the museum's website HERE.
