Man arrested following theft incident at Moira shop

A man has been arrested and charged with theft and assault with beating, following an incident at a shop in Moira.

The incident took place early last month at the store in Shortheath Road.

As a a result of what happened, armed police raided a property in Moira, later that week, but the suspect was not at the premises.

A spokeswoman for Leicestershire PoIice said today (Wednesday): "The wanted man has since been arrested and charged.

"The charges relate to an incident at a shop in Shortheath Road in Moira on Tuesday, February 2, 2021."
