Fishers Solicitors in Ashby has sponsored the town's Christmas tree in Market Street for the third year running.

The Ivanhoe Business Park-based law firm has funded the tree and lights since 2020.

Fishers has been part of Ashby for over 200 years, but they left the town centre four years ago to move to a modern new facility - just a few months before the Covid pandemic struck.

But a spokesperson for Fishers said: "It was really important when we moved from the high street to the Ivanhoe Business Park in November 2019 that we remained accessible and available to the community as much as possible.

"We still try to get involved in local activities as much as we can, and when normality returned, we hoped to be able to offer lots more to the local community.

"The Ashby Christmas tree in 2020 was very positively received with there being hundreds of comments of praise about it on social media channels. We were happy to be a part of a great success at a very bleak time.

"This year, we're sponsoring the Christmas tree for the third year running. We can't wait for the tree to go up and for people to get as much enjoyment out of it as they did last year.

"If you want to see our Christmas tree, it will be positioned outside of WH Smiths from the end of November onwards."
