Ashby law firm Fishers is continuing to expand and has welcomed new talent to its Ivanhoe Office Park base.

Fishers has appointed three new people to its ever-growing staff.

In August, Victoria Noble-Bowers joined the firm.

She has worked for Fishers before, but after taking a short career break to study psychology and look after her young family, has returned as a solicitor working part time as part of the dispute resolution team.

Victoria qualified in 2015 and has experience in a wide range of transactions.

Her early career saw her working as part of a large Midlands dispute resolution team, where she gained experience dealing with a range of contentious matters including professional negligence, business disputes, property disputes and probate claims.

Victoria then moved to an in-house role where she was the sole legal counsel for a £100million+ group of companies working across civil engineering, traffic management, safety fencing and waste recycling.

Her work involved looking after the group's property portfolio, handling civil claims and dealing with debt recovery. She also advised on a variety of commercial agreements.

Victoria said: "Being organised is key to managing a busy caseload. I also relish a challenge, relying on my past experience to get to the root of a matter and then working on a solution that best fits our client's needs."

She has three young children who are keeping her busy at the moment, and, in her spare time, she enjoys walks with the family dog Bertie and exercising.

Sarah Ogilvy joined at the same time as Victoria and brings over 25 years' experience working as a conveyancer.

She has experience in a broad range of property transactions - and, in her words, 'has seen it all'!

Sarah's ethos is that an informed client is a happy client. She is well aware of the stresses and strains that can occur during a transaction and her aim is always to alleviate these issues for her clients in every way possible.

She prides herself on ascertaining what a client's specific requirements and concerns are from day one.

Sarah aims to act swiftly and respond rapidly to queries and is never "too busy" to talk to her clients. As a result of her strong work ethic, Sarah is often introduced to new clients through personal recommendation.

She is originally from Zimbabwe and moved to the UK in 1998. In her spare time, she likes to play softball and squash, and loves to watch all sports.

Lily-Rose Hill joined Fishers this month as an apprentice administrator in the Operations Team.

She will learn about the workings of a law firm and study a business administration course.

Lily-Rose will also help with office administration, scanning post, reception and other day-to-day tasks.
