Ashby Ivanhoe collected their third pre-season win in a row on Thursday night to beat Bingham Town 3-2 at the NFU Ground.

Ivanhoe opened the scoring after 17 minutes as Liam Donaghy threaded through a ball for Jordan Wilson to guide past the keeper.

Bingham then got back on level terms 10 minutes later when a defensive mishap left their forward with a simple finish to loop the ball over the keeper.

Ivanhoe were soon back in front as Jack Robinson played a great ball over the top, Liam Donaghy took a touch, opened it out and drilled into the back of the net.

Bingham applied pressure after the break and got their equaliser after 53 minutes.

Ivanhoe responded well and regained the lead when the Bingham keeper spilled a powerful shot from Sam Grouse and it crept over the line.

Both sides went toe to toe and had chances to get more goals but the remaining 30 drew a blank.

That was Ashby's final pre-season friendly behind closed doors and they are looking forward to being able to welcome spectators - up to 150 - back on Saturday with a double header: 12:30pm - Knights vs West Bridgford; 3:00pm - Ivanhoe vs Heather St Johns. Admission will be £3 for two games.
