Ashby Ivanhoe FC names new chairman as Holliday resigns from key role
Ashby Ivanhoe FC has named Derrick Barratt as the club's new chairman.
The Lower Packington Road-based club announced at the weekend that Gary Holliday had resigned from the role.
A statement from Ashby Ivanhoe said: "Gary was only officially appointed in May, but he introduced some very good business initiatives, which the club are looking at developing further, and we wish him all of the best in the future.
"We are delighted to announce that Derrick Barratt will succeed Gary as Chairman of Ashby Ivanhoe FC with immediate effect."
Mr Barratt has been involved with the club since March 2019, and will keep his position as Club Treasurer and Directorship within the CIC structure.
The statement added: "With his deep understanding of the club's inner workings and a strong commitment to our vision, Derrick is well-prepared to lead Ashby Ivanhoe FC into this next chapter.
"In further strengthening our leadership structure, we are pleased to announce that Mark Scrivener and Sade Palmer will step up to serve as Vice Chairpersons. Their support and involvement will be instrumental in helping to guide the club forward.
"These changes reflect our ongoing commitment to building a robust and supportive leadership team dedicated to driving Ashby Ivanhoe FC's growth and success.
"We thank everyone associated with the club and the wider community for their continued support and we look forward to an exciting future."
