Alexanders Estate Agents is having a move of its own as they prepare to leave their current address for new premises in Market Street.

Currently based on The Green, Alexanders is taking over the unit that was occupied by Time Consortium jewellers and has announced the move with signage in the front window.

Time Consortium's owners retired on Christmas Eve after 36 years.

It means another town centre shop will be occupied, after a number have been vacated following a difficult year due to the Covid pandemic.

Some are slowly being taken over by new businesses, but there was another blow to Market Street on Thursday when it was announced that Santander would be closing its Ashby branch in July.
