Ashby Drivers Warned Of Serious Accident at Ticknall

Police are warning of delays north of Ashby on the A514 at Ticknall due a serious road traffic accident.

The incident has happened on the road to Swarkestone and police, Fire and Ambulance are all in attendance.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that crews from Swadlincote and Melbourne went to Stanton Hill, Ticknall.

The incident involved two cars. One person was trapped but released by the Fire Service and was conveyed to hospital by ambulance.

Motorists were being urged to find an alternative route and there will be delays anyone travelling towards Derby from Ashby.
