Ashby drivers have been urged to celebrate the festive season safely by the Police & Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

Lord Willy Bach has warned against the dangers of irresponsible driving.

He said: "Don't put other people's lives at risk by drinking and taking drugs and driving.

"Remember to switch off your mobile when driving, stay alert, buckle your seat belt up and stick to the speed limit.

"So everyone can celebrate safely with their loved ones this Christmas #CelebrateSafely"
