Ashby-based Breedon Consulting is giving free HR advice to business owners during the coronavirus pandemic.
By providing the facts on HR legislation and the Government Job Retention Scheme, the Ivanhoe Office
Park company has stepped up to give its support during an extremely challenging time for many businesses. Breedon Consulting provides people support for a range of SMEs, including strategic and operational HR, learning and development and recruitment services. Since the start of the outbreak, the team has delivered free advice via videos, webinars and email updates to both clients and non-clients, aiming to help as many business owners as possible. And now the company is launching a weekly 'Question Time' webinar for business owners, giving free access to expert advice from not only Breedon Consulting director Nicki Robson but also Laurence Duncan and Matt Bull from Wiserways business coaching and Anna Brocklehurst from Charnwood Accountants and Business Advisers. Nicki said: "This is an incredibly unsettling time for business owners who are struggling to disseminate information and apply it to their businesses. "As experts in our field, we wanted to provide useful and valuable help to as many businesses as we can, and we continue to share information across multi-platforms. "For those who have attended our webinars, we offered a further free 15-minute follow-up call to discuss any specific concerns and have advised on how the Job Retention Scheme interacts with other legislation, which isn't always obvious. "We've reached hundreds of business owners and senior managers, who we wouldn't normally have interacted with, and have had very positive feedback, so we're genuinely pleased to be helping others where we can. "It's now more important than ever that businesses are planning for what comes next - looking at the options that they have and really focusing their attentions on making plans to ensure that they get through the other side. "Whilst many are breathing a sigh of relief that Furlough Leave or Short-time Working has been implemented, that is only the beginning and companies need to be ready for what the future will bring."
