Ashby's Concordia Choir is coming out of lockdown and needs a new Musical Director.

The choir plans to begin rehearsals again soon after meeting online for the past year.

Concordia's repertoire includes acapella and accompanied choral music from a range of styles.

A non-auditioning choir, the choir says it is open to everyone.

And now, as it begins to regroup after having to stay apart during the pandemic, Concordia is regrouping.

A message on the choir's Facebook page reads: "We anticipate that in the not too distant future we will be meeting up for rehearsals face to face again after a year of Zooming.

"And we now need a new Musical Director to motivate, direct, take us forward and revive our enjoyment of singing and performing.

"So, if you are looking to stretch your conducting muscles with just such a challenge and would like more information please email us at [email protected].

"Alternatively send us a Facebook message with your contact details and someone will get back to you for an informal chat. Closing date for applications will be Friday 11 June 2021."
