North West Leicestershire Police have released a renewed list of priorities in the Ashby area ahead of the new year.

Officers will be targeting reports of drug misuse in residential spots close to the town centre.

They have identified Wilfred Gardens, Wilfred Place and Pithiviers Close as problem areas.

The police have also said they will prioritise road safety in Packington and Ravenstone as well as the Ashby town centre Night Time Economy.

But the Forest Beat team say they are also focusing on areas outside of Ashby.

Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage on Woodlands Way, Moira, has been reported.

Now, the police say regular patrols of the area are taking place to re-assure residents.

That is also the case in Measham where there have been reports of anti-social behaviour on Burton Road and High Street - with regular patrols now taking place.

Patrols are also happening in Albert Village to target overweight vehicles passing through the weight limit.

The priorities are due to be reviewed in January and run from October to December.
