With the Easter Holidays nearly over, a local activity centre is reminding parents that it has opened a new splash park for children.

Conkers, near Ashby, unveiled the attraction in time for the start of the Easter holidays a couple of weeks ago.

Now, with the majority of Leicestershire schools' summer terms set to begin on Monday (25 April), Conkers' splash park remains an option for parents looking for one last holiday activity for their children.

It features interactive bubbling jets and other activities all powered by movement, so the more kids explore, the wetter they'll get.

The centre's website says of the park: "With Interactive play and even a pirate ship that kids will love running through as they enjoy a splashtastic [sic] water day out whatever the weather.

"From the newly-installed fun and engaging pieces scattered across the brightly coloured cove, with the clever installation for inclusive play, we are looking forward to welcoming children and adults of all abilities to come along and experience this activity!"

As well as the splash park, Conkers has a variety of activities to engage and entertain children including an activity trail, an arti trail and a barefoot walk.

It opens at 10am and closes at 6pm during school holidays.
