Baldwins Accountants - which has offices in Ashby - is set to make job cuts.

According to TheBusinessDesk.com Baldwins had been bullish in the last 18 months, snapping up regional and local accountants across the UK.

Baldwins has an office on the Ivanhoe Business Park in Ashby.

A spokesperson for Baldwins told TheBusinessDesk.com: "Post a period of acquisition led growth, Cogital confirms it has entered a redundancy consultation process with a small number of employees.

"Clients will continue to receive the same level of service and team commitment.

"Cogital is committed to supporting those impacted by the process."

The firm was bought by Cogital in 2016 and saw wholesale changes to its top team in February this year, when John and David Baldwin left the firm along with Shaun Knight, with Alyn North taking over as chief executive.
