North West Leicestershire reported that they have seized 80 cannabis plants and various electronics from a property on Smisby Road. 

Police were made aware of the small-scale growth by a 'concerned neighbour.' 

According to North West Leicestershire Police, 'PCSO Mary and PC Ryan hit the ground running on their first day back, responding to a call from a concerned neighbour in Ashby. 

'Officers attended a property on Smisby Road, Ashby and discovered a small-scale cannabis grow – with 80 plants and various electronics seized. 

'While this may have been unexpected find, making the property safe from dangerous electrical bypassing has reduced the risk of fire, surge, and power outages for nearby homes.'
