A catering business based near Ashby has successfully served up over 1,700 at the Lincolnshire Show, going above and beyond to serve up excellent quality food to members, sponsors and guests.

During the duration of the weekend, Saffron Catering served up 500 breakfasts, 600 carveries and 400 dinners.

'Events like this don't just happen,' said Carla Garey, owner of the catering business. 'Months of planning, early mornings, a 24/7 kitchen and a team who genuinely go above and beyond every single time. Watching it all come together on the day is one of the best feelings in the world.'

This year's 140th Lincolnshire Show had an estimated 65,000 visitors on 23 and 24 June, with families flocking to Lincolnshire Showground for a packed weekend of live entertainment, fantastic local businesses and delicious food.

Attractions at this year's show include a display for the RAF Falcons, the Shetland Pony Grand National, A Grand Parade of livestock and a new-for-2026 polo match.

The show is home to Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, where members can get special access to the show and Members' area, where Carla and the Saffron team served up breakfast, a three course lunch and carvery, featuring great local Lincolnshire ingredients.

Saffron Catering is an outside catering business based in Appleby Magna, near Ashby, specialising in outside and wedding catering across the Midlands.

The business is also currently hiring, looking for a new Food Truck Sales Driver to work from their Swadlincote hub.
