Create, test, and optimise CNC programs for precision component manufacture - Set up and operate CNC machinery, selecting tools, speeds, and feeds for best performance - Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD models - Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment - Identify and resolve machining or tooling issues to maintain production quality - Work closely with engineering and quality teams to continuously improve processes - Maintain machinery and ensure a safe, organised workspace in line with H&S standards - Support lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement

Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements. Develop, simulate, and optimise CNC programs using CAM software. Select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and cutting paths. Set up and calibrate CNC machines, including tooling and part alignment. Load raw materials, monitor production, and carry out in-process and first-off inspections using micrometres, callipers, and gauges. Troubleshoot machining issues, perform basic maintenance, and report any machine malfunctions promptly. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure targets are met. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean Manufacturing principles. Identify personal development opportunities and work towards appraisal objectives.
