- Create, test, and optimise CNC programs for precision component manufacture - Set up and operate CNC machinery, selecting tools, speeds, and feeds for best performance - Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD models - Conduct first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment - Identify and resolve machining or tooling issues to maintain production quality - Work closely with engineering and quality teams to continuously improve processes - Maintain machinery and ensure a safe, organised workspace in line with H&S standards - Support lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement
- Experienced CNC Turner with strong background in setting and operating turn-mill machines - Proficient with Siemens machine controls and ideally CAM software such as Fusion - Skilled in manual XYZ lathe operation - Sound understanding of machining aluminium, stainless steel, plastics, and other materials - Strong attention to detail with a methodical, problem-solving mindset - Confident communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills - Relevant qualification such as a time-served Apprenticeship, HNC or HND in Engineering
