Assistance dog charity, Canine Partners, is inviting the whole family, plus their paw-some friends, to its annual Family Fun Day and Dog Show at its National Training Centre, Loughborough, on Saturday 1 August, to support their life changing work.

Doors will be open from 11am to 3pm, with the hotly anticipated community event featuring live music, a variety of stalls packed with delicious food and unique gifts, treats and accessories, as well as children's activities.

The day ahead:

A highlight of the day will be the charity's Dog Ambassador demonstration taking place outside the front of the National Training Centre. From picking up dropped items to unloading the washing machine, experienced Handler Ann and Dog Ambassador Libby show off their incredible assistance dog skills.

In addition to the Canine Partner task demonstrations, don't forget to bring your own pup! There'll be a dog show open to all breeds, all ages and all abilities to determine the waggiest, cutest, and most handsome, as well as a packed dog activity area that includes the popular carrot bobbing challenge.

Entertainment will be provided by The Ox-Eye Daisies, while a convoy of vintage tractors from the Canineball Road Run will arrive to kick off the day's celebrations.

And for a little extra fun for children and grown-ups alike, you can experience the face painting stall. Whether you fancy becoming a Canine Partner dog, butterfly, superhero or something completely different, face painting will be available throughout the day.

With something for everyone to enjoy, mark your diaries and come along. Entry is just £5 per car, payable on the day via cash or card, with all proceeds helping the charity train and support their life-changing assistance dogs.
