A total of 111 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Leicester and Leicestershire combined today (Fri).
Sixty-three were in Leicester and the rest spread across Leicestershire.
A teenager was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car crashed into a house in Ashby in the early hours of this morning (Fri).
The 19-year-old woman has since been released under investigation following the incident in Wood Street.

A driver rammed a police car head-on twice before speeding away - narrowly missing hitting one of the officers - in Ashby last night (Thus).
Leicestershire Police is now appealing for dashcam footage following the incident in Moira Road shortly before 9pm.

In the Ravenstone-based hospice's summer newsletter, chairman Stewart Shepherd, explains: "For some considerable time, the trustees, staff and leaders have been discussing the need to change the name of Hospice Hope.
