Ashby Ivanhoe FC today (Sunday) announced they have 'parted ways' with the club's Knights Manager Lee Windram.

A statement reads: "The club would like to thank Lee for his hard work in bringing success to The Knights last season and we wish him all the best for the future."

Ashby Ivanhoe's first team clinched another United Counties League victory on Saturday when they beat Boston Town 1-0.

The club's Facebook page reports that, after a stop-start first half where neither side could really take control of the game, Ivanhoe came out and took it up a level in the second period.

The goal came as Will Robson impressed on the left before cutting back and finding Joel Carta in the box.

Carta found space with a great first touch and slotted across goal into the far corner.

Moments later, the ball was in the net again and Ashby looked to have gone two up, but Carta was adjudged to have been offside from James Harrison's cross.

The back line were tested by a physical Boston side but remained faultless to earn themselves and goalkeeper Sam Taylor another clean sheet.

Ivanhoe - currently six points off the top of the table - visit Hucknall Town on Wednesday night.
