The latest food hygiene ratings from takeaways to supermarkets across North West Leicestershire have been ranked for the month of September.

Any place where food is supplied, sold or eaten is given a rating and has been ranked for food hygiene, with zero being the worst and five being the best.

So you can check if the place you are visiting is highly rated, just take a look at our list below.

The ratings are based on categories such as handling, storage and preparation of food, cleanliness of facilities and how well food safety issues are managed.
