Donisthorpe is now the home to a rainbow plant trough made out of recycled milk bottles.

The village's Orchard Allotment Society has managed to secure a grant of almost £500 from North West Leicestershire District Council to purchase the rainbow coloured planks.

The plans have been rmade from the milk bottles to create a rainbow trough.

The trough has been made by an allotment member and it has now been planted ready for winter and spring.

The original troughs have been moved against the wall.

Sarah Louise Brickwood- Dixon designed the wildflower sign and another friend/neighbour of the village had it manufactured and printed.

The Rambling Rector roses have been secured to trail along the wall and the entire area has been tidied up.

The grass will be cut when it is not so wet.

The Orchard Allotment Society, Ray Meadows and Ben Gale all made the latest addition to the village possible.
