Bath Street is to be closed for one day this month so that Severn Trent Water can carry out works.

The road from Bath Street from Kilwardby Street, for approximately 25 metres, will be shut on Sunday, January 14 for one day, 7am-5pm.

This is "for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate permanent reinstatement of the highway."

There will be diversions in place on the day.

Ashby de la Zouch Town Council says access to South Street will still be maintained from the Station Road/Bath Street junction.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Station Road, Lower Packington Road, Upper Packington Road, Leicester Road, Upper Church Street, Wood Street, Market Street, and vice versa.

During the closures, alternative routes available to all traffic can be viewed HERE.
