Job Opportunity with Ashby de la Zouch Town Council

Ashby de la Zouch Town Council is looking for a deputy town clerk.

The Council is advertising for the post and ideally looking for someone with previous experience of local government/authority procedures.

But it says full training will be given although experience of office administration is essential.

The successful applicant will be in a supporting role to the Town Clerk and deputise fully in his absence.

The person would also be required to arrange, attend and record evening meetings of the Town Council and would be expected to take and produce minutes of these meetings in a clear and concise manner.

The Council adds that the post-holder will be expected to study towards a recognised qualification within two years of appointment.
