Snarestone Pumpkin Farm is holding a Cheese Tasting and Sale Day later this month.

The free, pre-festive event is being held on October 10 starting at 9am.

And the farm says it is proud to be announcing the new event after a year when many festivals and county shows have fallen victim to Covid-19 safety measures.

The Lodge Farm based venue added: "We have a list of cheeses that we haven't been able to properly launch along with lots of offers, we want to invite you over to join us and let us know what you think.

"Sample all of our cheeses, handmade with milk from the family dairy farm.

"We'll have the biggest cheese board you've seen with 20 cheeses piled high.

"Pop along with friends and family to grab yourself a deal with plenty of offers available for every taste bud to stock up on their favourites.

"While you're here, we'll also have our farm shop open full of local goodies including fresh vegetables and Julia's cakes from Ashby."

But the farm says that Coronavirus guidelines will be in place.

•To abide with government guidelines they will not allow groups larger than six

•Social distancing is to be maintained at all times

•Do not attend if you have had any COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days

•Please be patient as we offer the samples of the cheeses safely and individually to each visitor to keep everyone safe
