The Friends of the Oakthorpe, Donisthorpe and Acresford Memorial Gardens are looking for ex-employees of Donisthorpe Colliery.

They will be at the Donisthorpe Open Gardens tomorrow (Sunday) which is being held at the Parish Memorial Gardens between 11-5pm.

The aim is to create the Donisthope Miners' Roll Call - whatever department, whatever the job.

It will be part of the annual Open Gardens - a trail around Donisthorpe, with both community and private gardens on show.

The event will be raising funds for the Donisthorpe Memorial Gardens.

Refreshments and plants will be available for sale at some of the venues.
