Does anyone have any information about this home movie filmed in Ashby 60 years ago?

The clip is on YouTube and has been posted on a channel called The Film Archives of Dr Michael Tellis.

Here, there is a four minute film called 'A Great Big Party in Ashby, 1964'.

Accompanying the clip is a message which reads: "This film was taken by Michael's best friend Peter Corkey, a doctor in Measham and Ashby Hospital. Is it a gala? It could be a fair, a fundraiser or a carnival."

The film is captioned 'Ashby Gala 1964' but there are few other details. Some of the children here will be in their 60s or early 70s now.
