Ashby School is staging a free carol concert next week for older members of the local community

Free tickets are now available for Ashby School's popular annual carol concert for older members of the community, which will take place at the school on Tuesday, December 13,

Tickets entitle concert-goers to an afternoon of free refreshments, seasonal entertainment from the school's talented young musicians and entry to the prize draw.

The event, being held from from 2.30 – 4.30pm, is open to any older members of the community from Ashby and the surrounding area.

Assistant Headteacher Roger Skervin, said: "Our Student Council wanted to do something to give back to the local community and this afternoon of free festive entertainment is a great way to do that.

"Christmas is all about bringing people together so we are very much looking forward to welcoming members of the local community into our school community for this special event."

Members of community groups for older people are also welcome to attend.

Tickets can be collected from the school's main reception on Nottingham Road.

The carol concert is one of many ways in which Ashby School celebrates its links with local people.
