Ashby Ivanhoe 0 Wellingborough 5

Following Saffron Dynamo's disqualification from the United Counties Cup for fielding an ineligible player, Ashby were convincingly beaten again in the hastily arranged re-match by Step 4-bound Wellingborough.

The visitors took the lead inside the opening four minutes through Centre Forward Nehemiah Richard-Noel, who would go on to score a hat trick including a second-half penalty.

Setpieces would be Andy Gray's side's Nemesis again as they failed to clear a free kick into the box as the lead was doubled a short time later.

Ivanhoe may have felt slightly aggrieved by the scoreline as Wellingborough's third goal looked to be a clear handball, before being turned home via the deflection.

To compile their misfortune, Gabe Webster struck a brilliant volley for Ivanhoe into the corner on his return to the club, however this time the linesman chose to raise his flag for a controversial offside.

Beaten by an excellent side for the level who will no doubt be favourites for the final, Ivanhoe will now have some much-needed time off after a relentless few months where they have been playing three times a week.
