All 145 homes on a new housing development in Ashby have been sold - four years after building work started on the site.

Ashberry Homes has delivered a mix of properties at its Broadleaf development off Moira Road.

The final few homes for sale - a selection of four-bedroom detached houses - have now been snapped up, with the buyers due to move in this November.

Construction work has already been completed at the development, which features large areas of public open space including two lagoons and a children's play area.

Heidi Higgins, Sales Manager for Ashberry Homes, said: "The varied mix of house sizes and designs we have delivered at Broadleaf has attracted a wide range of buyers, and this has been one of the key factors in the development's success.

"Providing a selection of one and two-bedroom starter homes for sale at the site has enabled several young couples and families from the area to get on the property ladder in this desirable market town.

"This is reflected in the fact that the majority of our customers at Broadleaf were first-time buyers.

"Broadleaf has also proved a popular development with families.

"Ashby has a good selection of highly rated schools for children of all ages, including Ashby Hill Top Primary School which is only a 10-minute walk from the site.

"As well as the large areas of public open space we have created within the development itself, Broadleaf's semi-rural location has been a significant draw for buyers, who benefit not only from views of the surrounding countryside but the convenience of living within a mile of the town centre."
