21-year-old golfer from Ashby completed first round in ‘dream’ Open Championships

Ashby golfer Seb Cave, who said it's a 'dream' to compete in The Open Championships in Royal Portrush, has completed the first round with teammate Frazer Jones.
Cave was one of only four amateurs to survive the 36-hole final qualifying events.
Cave and Jones are representing the Charlotte Men's Golf team at the 153rd Open Championships, having completed the first round on Thursday (17th July).
"Having two guys playing in a major championship while still in school is a very big deal," said Charlotte Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "I am proud of both Seb and Frazer for all of the hard work they have put in to lead them to this point."
