Joining at an exciting point in our growth, you will lead the people agenda through its next phase and help turn business ambition into organisational capability.

It is your chance to influence major decisions and make a lasting impact. Reporting to the COO and working directly with the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape the decisions that matter, ensuring we have the talent, leadership, culture and organisational infrastructure to succeed.

You will operate confidently from the boardroom to the front line, combining strategic insight with a practical understanding of what makes the business work.

If you have a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, shaping long-term (3-5 year) strategies, and leading through change, we'd love to hear from you.

The preferred base is Ashby de la Zouch or Birmingham. We offer hybrid working, balanced with the visibility and connection expected of a senior leader. Travel across our office network will be an important part of the role, particularly during the first six months as you build relationships and get to know the business.

Duties will include:

• Support the firm's strategic vision for growth over the next 3-5 years as a key strategic partner
• Own and deliver Fisher German's people strategy, aligning it closely with our commercial priorities while keeping it practical, visible and connected to the business.
• Be a trusted, commercially astute adviser to the Senior Leadership Team and divisional leadership teams, bringing challenge, insight and solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Divisional Managing Partners and other key equity partners
• Lead, inspire and develop the People function; building its capability, credibility and impact as a business partner.
• Evolve performance management and help create an inclusive, high-performing culture where people can do their best work.
• Provide expert leadership across employee relations, employment tribunal matters, policy and people risk.
• Turn people data and insights into clear, evidence-based decisions and actions.

The successful candidate will have

• Proven people leadership experience in a similar-sized organisation (£50 - £150m+ revenue)
• Leading organisational change, transformation and integration
• Partnering with and influencing senior leaders and managers
• Using data and insight to influence business decisions
• Providing expert guidance on UK employment legislation and people practice
• Leading and developing a sizeable, multi-disciplinary people team
• Communicating with clarity, credibility and impact at every level
• A CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience
• Above all, a genuine belief that brilliant businesses are built by enabling people to thrive
