As HR Manager you will be responsible for all site operational activities across the HR agenda, providing advice & guidance on all people related matters with a significant focus on coaching and upskilling line managers to achieve a step change in people management capability, specifically on employee relations matters. Reporting into the HR Business Partner, you will also work closely with central Payroll and People Services and the wider HR function to provide an effective HR service. What's in it for you? - Manage complex employee relations cases - Ensure effective and timely case management across absence, grievances, conduct, and performance, delivering a proactive HR service.
- Drive business efficiency through HR initiatives - Work on projects that enhance departmental and site-wide processes, contributing to a more effective and agile organisation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally for accuracy and impact - Partner with Payroll, People Services, and Employee Health & Wellbeing to maintain data integrity and support employee wellbeing.
- Enhance workplace culture and engagement - Lead HR initiatives that promote diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I), improve employee engagement, and drive positive organisational change.
- Develop expertise in strategic HR processes - Gain hands-on experience in recruitment, talent management, succession planning, and performance management, supporting long-term business success.
- Strong HR expertise - CIPD qualified, ideally Level 5 (or equivalent experience), with a solid foundation in generalist HR within a complex organisation of similar size. FMCG/manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Key skills for collaboration and impact - Ability to build credible relationships, communicate effectively, and influence at all levels, ensuring smooth stakeholder engagement and HR service delivery.
- Proven experience in HR operations - Background in managing high-volume HR processes, working with trade unions, and handling complex employee relations ensures confident decision-making.
- Opportunities to develop further - Experience in data analysis, HR systems, and Microsoft 365 (intermediate level) is beneficial but not essential-we welcome candidates eager to learn.
