Senior Conservation Officer
Are you passionate about protecting and enhancing the historic environment? We are looking for a Senior Conservation Officer to join our busy Planning and Development Team. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the district's heritage assets, providing expert advice on conservation and historic building matters to the team and customers, and will have a caseload of listed building consent applications. You'll also contribute to shaping a vibrant and sustainable future through the regeneration of Conservation Areas and involvement in projects that promote economic growth.
You'll have experience of working within a planning team in a local planning authority, with a solid understanding of current planning legislation and policy relating conservation and historic building matters. A recognised qualification to degree level in conservation of the historic environment or an equivalent relevant discipline and being a full member of the IHBC or eligible for being full member, is required. We're looking for someone organised, confident, and a strong communicator who can build positive relationships with customers and colleagues. You'll be resilient, motivated, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure. • 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £37,280 - £40,777
