Housing Support Officer
We are looking for a Housing Support Officer to join our team. The team provides personalised support and assistance to our older or more vulnerable tenants to help them continue to live independently. The job involves visiting tenants across the district each day to provide advice and assistance, helping them to access appropriate services. You will also promote the programme of social activities that are run within the council's sheltered accommodation sites. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, good IT skills and who can adapt with emergency situations should they arise. The successful candidate must be able to quickly build and maintain rapport with a varying range of people. A working knowledge of welfare benefits and assistive technology to help people live independently would be an advantage although training will be given.

• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £25,584 - £27,269 (pay award pending)
