Asset Manager External

The Council's Housing Asset Management Team is looking for an experienced Asset Manager to lead on the delivery of our well-funded capital improvement programme.

This role is crucial in shaping the Council's Zero Carbon agenda, overseeing our Home Improvement Programme to maintain decency standards for our tenanted properties and managing planned and cyclical works delivered by both internal and external contractors. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate stock condition data to support strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance as a landlord, and overseeing vital projects such as the Asset Management Strategy.

A major focus is achieving the Council's Zero Carbon target by ensuring all our council housing meets a minimum EPC rating of C by 2030. This is a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced professional to drive housing improvements, sustainability initiatives and long-term investment strategies.

The successful candidate will have a key role to play in taking forward these initiatives and must be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of successfully managing contracts and contract administration principles

• Experience of effectively Developing Asset Management Strategies and/or Asset Management Plans

• Experience of effectively supervising staff, with previous staff management and leadership experience

• Experience of effectively managing significant budgets (revenue/capital) and risk management expertise.

Applicants must also have a degree in a construction or maintenance related discipline (or equivalent) or relevant demonstrable experience for this role.

• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £45,718 - £49,764

• Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working, this role requires a minimum of 3 days a week working in the office

• 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years
